Summer 2007
1) Paul
has recently completed the first draft of The Collector of Souls,
the sequel to The Death List. It will be published in the U.K.
in June 2008, and in the U.S.A. in October 2008.
2) The Death List has sold
very well in the U.K., reaching as high as number 5 in the Nielsen
BookScan Heatseekers’ Chart (for authors who haven’t
previously been in the top 50). At the time of writing, it has
spent over a month in that chart.
3) Paul has done a lot of publicity for
the book, from London to Dundee, via Dublin. There have been large
interviews and features in The Scotsman, the Irish Independent
on Sunday, the Edinburgh Evening News, the Sunday Business Post
(Ireland) and the Dundee Courier. Paul has also done radio interviews,
and has written articles for the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Herald, Publishing
News and several web-sites.
4) Paul will be doing his usual tranche
of event-chairing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival
in August – for details, see About Paul, Appearances.
5) The Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish
translation rights to A Deeper Shade of Blue, The Last Red Death
and The Golden Silence have been sold to Forlaget Harlequin, who
will also publish The Death List in those countries in 2008.
Spring 2007
1)

3)
Paul has been invited for the third time to the Harrogate Crime
Writing Festival, in July - see About Paul, Appearances.
4)

(thirty-three last year - a record!).
